Land-Rover (and Range-Rover)

Welcome to Richie Bean's Land-Rover page. I have used thumbnails to speed up the page and a "click on the pic" will show a bigger view on another page and then you will be brought back here. This page is devoted to my "ex" 1986 Land-Rover 90 "Dino" and my current Range Rover Vogue. Come back regularly to check. |

This was my 1986 Land-Rover 90 "Dino". I bought my Land-Rover in 1998. "Dino" soon became part of the family! It was called "Dino" because it is a normally aspirated diesel (D, NO turbo) It's a 1986 model hardtop "deluxe" with side windows. It also has been made more "family friendly" with the addition of side steps, forward facing rear seats and a storage box in the rear. Discovery steel wheels and 265/75R16 tyres complete the picture. Even making the 90 more "family friendly" wasn't enough - it had to be replaced with something which can carry both Kids and luggage / shopping / stuff (and multi-storey car parking ruled out a roof rack!) which meant that a Land-Rover with a boot was needed. |

The "new" Range Rover is a 1992 Vogue in Ardennes Green. It needs a few items of interior trim to bring it up to scratch and this will be an ongoing project for the next few months. |

Nessie got a new parcel shelf and door panels with pockets as well as other items of trim and then quick-fit (and quick remove for off-roading) side steps. The bull-bar was removed before the roof-bars and box were fitted for our holidays in Cornwall. |

The 2001 Holidays gave us a chance to try driving on the right (or as was frequently called "on the right! on the right!) in France. Plenty of Rovers but no Pics. |

Don't forget, a "click on the pic" will show a bigger view. You can see photos in the gallery of other Land-Rovers and Range-Rovers. |

I have joined the Range Rover Register so that I can tap into the club's knowledge of all things Range-Rover. You can join them at their website by clicking on the RRR logo. |

I have to thank Steve Graham Services (UK tel. 01642 564964) for all their help in keeping Dino on (and off) the road. Honest advice (and quality parts!) from them has saved so much heartache. Steve is known as "Mr. Number One" since he has the first Series III SWB diesel, chassis number 001 and also the first series III 1 ton LWB, again chassis number 001. The trophies gathered by the SWB diesel certainly are a testament to the quality of their restoration skills. Hopefully Steve will let me take some photos of his mini-collection of rare Land-Rovers and I will be able to include them in the gallery You could also 4-Wheel over to these Land-Rover Sites: |
